Jaws Buckets and Attachments

Jaws Buckets & AttachmentsWe have just completed the fit out of our new Construction Division facility at our Archerfield site, this facility has 2,100m2 under roof, and will be the new production area for Quick Hitches, Loader, Excavator and Backhoe buckets. This development will enable the consolidation of production areas, the stream lining of assembly procedures creating more cost effective production flow, to comply with Jaws strategy of minimising delivery times.

The facility is fitted with a custom built 26 meter span, 5 ton Demag gantry crane, 16 ducted welding bay's, 13 pre-assembly bays and 6 cleaning bays, an under floor power grid and state of the art air extraction system. This is the largest development undertake by Jaws since the construction of our 6.3 million dollar "Mining Attachments" facility which was completed in 2002.

Our Machining Division has just added another Okuma machining centre to its portfolio, an Okuma Macturn-250 Multifunction Lathe. This is the first and only Macturn to date which Okuma have sold in Queensland, and the only one in Australia which is fitted with the AGL component (Robotic Arm & Loading Bench). This machine has the capacity to handle all types of machining - turning, face milling, eccentric (y-axis), inclined-plane (b-axis)—combined with ATC, simultaneous upper/lower turret machining and 2nd-operation spindle.

The Macturn is fully automated; it can be set to machine up to 270 individual components, and left to itself.
